21st Connecticut Women's Open

ELIGIBILITY: In addition to a player's agreement to abide by the CSGA General Tournament Policies, the following criteria is required:
Female Professional and Amateur Golfers:
- Amateur golfers must have an active USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 15.0

ENTRY FEE: Amateur - $125 / Professional - $225
CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER INFORMATION:
Format: All players will play 18-holes of stroke play on both Tuesday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 5th. Round two pairings will be based on round one scores. The player with the low 36-hole total will be declared the Champion.
Transportation & Caddies: You may walk, carry your own bag, utilize a caddie or use a golf cart for this Championship. The cost of a caddie and/or golf cart is NOT included in the entry fee.
- There are no push carts allowed at Brooklawn Country Club.
- Golf cart fees are $35 per player and there is a two cart maximum per group (threesome).
- Payment for golf carts is Cash or Check only (made payable to Brooklawn CC).
- Brooklawn C.C. has an experienced group of caddies that are available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Please email Gregor Steger at gregor@brooklawncc.com to reserve a caddie for either the tournament days or a practice round.
- There is a minimum caddie fee of $90 per round and double bags are not permitted for this event.
Practice Rounds: There will be four official practice round dates available to registered players only:
- Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and after 5:00pm
- Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and after 5:00pm
- Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and after 5:00pm
- Thursday, May 30, 2019 after 1:30 pm
Registered players should email golfshop@brooklawncc.com with their practice round request specifying their date and time. Gregor Steger will coordinate your request and you will receive a response within a 24 hour period.

Lodging: The CSGA has arranged hotel accommodations at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton, 180 Lawley Lane, Trumbull CT, six miles from Brooklawn C.C. at a favorable rate of $115. Please call Marriott Reservations at 1-800-228-9290 or (203) 378-1400 on or before Thursday, May 23rd to make your reservation. Please identify yourself as part of the Connecticut State Golf Association when you call for your reservation. If you are flying in to LaGuardia Airport in the evening you may consider the following hotels near the airport: NY LaGuardia Airport Marriott, Springhill Suites NY LaGuardia or Aloft LaGuardia Airport. You may inquire whether these hotels offer a Marriott Friends & Family rate, and if they do, contact Marsha Rupp at mrupp@csgalinks.org with your reservation confirmation number. LaGuardia Airport is located 58 miles, approximately an hour and 20 minutes, not including heavy traffic, from the golf course. In addition, there is limited host housing available with member families of Brooklawn Country Club. If you are a registered player interested in host housing accommodations for the event, please email Marsha Rupp at mrupp@csgalinks.org.
Purse & Prizes: The winner will have her name permanently engraved on the Valerie Bulkeley Trophy. The winner, runner-up, low amateur, and low professional will receive trophies. Size and composition of the final field will determine the full professional and amateur prize distribution.
Withdrawals & Refunds: Refund less $25.00 administrative fee if requested prior to entry deadline. 50% refund after entry deadline and seven days prior to the event. Within seven days prior to the event there will be no refund. Any player who has competed in a qualifying round will be not be issued a refund if they are forced to withdraw from the championship proper.
All players are expected to complete the competition which they start. Acceptable reasons for withdrawal during a competition are physical injury, illness, or an emergency. Poor play is not an acceptable reason for withdrawal. A player who withdraws without an acceptable reason or without notifying CSGA personnel will be subject to suspension from future CSGA competitions. If a player is aware of a possibility of withdrawal (e.g. injury) he should notify the CSGA as soon as possible.
All players who start a round must return a scorecard personally to CSGA staff or a CSGA official even if they are officially withdrawing. Players who withdraw also must sign and attest that the hole by hole scores are correct for the fellow-competitor's scorecard they were keeping and return that card to the fellow-competitor or another marker in the group. Players who do not follow this policy will be subject to suspension from future CSGA competitions.
Conditions of Entry: By submitting an entry for any CSGA-administered competition, the contestant understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the CSGA. A contestant may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the CSGA staff or Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition. Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the CSGA or the “Spirit of the Game” are grounds for such removal and suspension from future CSGA-administered competitions. These include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property
2) Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing
3) Offensive or unbecoming language
4) Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of CSGA staff, officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants
5) Potential endangerment of others
6) Conduct deemed unbecoming
